Follow them or have your posting rights removed or be banned.

[cut=Full List Of Rules]*  If a topic makes no sense to you, do not ask broad questions about it.  We have a lot of developer posts that will make no sense to someone who doesn't know how to program or has not taken the time to explore the game files.


*  All modifications we release for the xbox will require a modified xbox.  Ask for instruction and then tell us you don't have one will result in banning/deletion of all posts for failure to read instructions.  THERE WILL BE NO SAVES ON THIS SITE SO DO NOT REQUEST THEM.


*  We do not endorse pirating.  Suggesting or asking for such will get you banned.  If you like a game BUY IT.  People worked hard to make something to entertain you, it's the least you can do.  If you are caught without one of these you will be banned.


*  Posting of original game files is strictly prohibited.  If you have code to share post just the code you have made.  Only attach files if you have created an application or something similar that requires the attachment.  If you made many changes to a file but did not change ALL of it then post a PPF or something similar to avoid posting any original code at all.  Do not link to original files either.  Either way it's just the same as posting them here.


*  Harassing admins/moderators through PM/Email because of your own inability to work things out with other people in the forums will result in loss of PM an removal of ability to post.


*  Harassing admins/moderators through PM/Email because of your own inability to read posts and stickies in the forums with any compitence will result in loss of PM an removal of ability to post.


*  Harassing or just flooding a topic/person because you are too lazy to use search will get your posting rights removed.  Search exists for a reason and we won't deal with people that constantly ask for things that are easy to find with search.


*  Public bashing of other members will get your posts removed.  If it is done repeatedly you will get your account banned.


*  Posting a reply to merely say you don't know or you also want to know something is a waste of space and all of our collective time (assuming you weren't asked directly, but if you were it probably should have been done in PM).  Repeated offenders will get their posting rights removed.

*  Do not cross post questions/requests in forums.  Pick the appropriate forum and post it there.  People read in all of the forums and don't need to see the extra spam.


*  Everything on this site is provided AS IS.  If you use a tool that someone wrote here and it crashes your computer, we don't care.  The programmer should be informed with as much information as you can provide in order to prevent that from happening again though.

*  Being an open forum, try to contribute to it.  As in by helping crack file formats or developing new tools or game modifications.  Leeches are never appreciated.  Especially when they are ungrateful for the work that other people put into doing something for them.  Being ungrateful is a very quick path to being banned.


*  Lack of acting like a mature person or inability to type in proper english or something close to it will not be tolerated (i.e. l33t,ALL CAPS, or IM shorthand).


Basically, this is a technically based Fable modding site.  This is NOT a playground. [/cut]

If you have a problem with these rules, don't come here.

Failure to not read the stickies on forums (like this one) is not an excuse.  Failure to read this post is also not an excuse.

May I ask how you got the money value to work? Did you just edit the pubgames value instead or is there a work around.

This is all information that we all already know. Since we have some new members that I'm not acquainted with, perhaps someone here would know enough about working with/on the 360 to give a lending hand in something else, such as what would need to be done to mod scripts.
To my knowledge, here's what we've got so far:
  • Merge NXE dump into a single ISO file or dump disc by doing this.
  • Unpack ISO.
  • Decompress bnks.
  • Edit files.
  • Repack bnks (no tool for this yet exists).
  • Prepare media for playing:
    • Burn files to disc? Or
    • Repack ISO and break into pieces like the NXE dump, resigning/rehashing on the way, then toss it back onto the 360?
  • ???
  • Profit? Maybe?
The 360-related things I believe* we could use some information on. I have a general idea of what is involved, but not the entire picture. I've read up on it in a few places, but not having a 360 to work with, it is hard to put it all together in my head. Any help on that could help push things along, as well as a bnk compiler and some more cracked formats. :)

*Or Silver is ten steps ahead of me and has this all figured out. Don't know.

That "Repack ISO and break into pieces like the NXE dump ..." doesnt work ... like I said multiple times before.
We would need the KeyVault from the 360 you want to do this on, and write than a resigner/blocker who uses a whole Folder and write the Hashes into that CON.

Well, the hard part is the KV thingy.
I know that there is a "10 CON´s to KV" Program, but its not public ( wondering why :P ).
So, we need to burn the hole shiet.
...
I cant help with cracking  formats, but I have some DL DVD+RW´s to waste ^^

Subject: freezes
I can't seem to get this to work at all. it keeps freezing during the loading screen. is something I have to do to get it to load? I tried to only change the money and it still doesn't work. any help would be appreciated

Everything is static and when Fable 2 freezes while Loading the Save is corrupt ;)
Dont use that app, its outdated and has the worst code I have ever seen ...

Do you know of a fable editor that does work? I managed to do load the pub saves and did a merge to get items and gold but I was hoping to edit the other attributes like renown and strength and such. If there isn't a working editor then I guess I'll make due with the pub saves

Nope, this is the only editor that exists.
feudalnate stopped working on his one because of various reasons ...

The other values are pretty easy to edit.
Example :
<Experience0 type="float">    274112.000000     4885D800</Experience0>

The first value is a normal "float", the second the same value as "int".
DONT increase the LENGTH of the value. You would break the FileTable and the Header ;)

4885D800 is big endian hex float value for 274112, not int. ;)

As for length, there's a value in the header that tells the game how big the file is, editing it will allow for the size change. There are tutorials linked to in this thread, it's no big thing.

No, you would have to change the FileTable and I think the hashes ... which is nearly impossible by hand :P

when i open a savegame and edit the stats and want to save it says: Fable 2 Savegame Editor has encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvience. Can't find Fable_2_Savegame_Editor_0.6\KV.bin. To improve the software you use, V3n93ance Production is interested in learning more about this error. We have created a report about the error for you to send us. and then i can select Ignore this error and attempt to continue, but when i select this nothing happens. or i can press the Debug or Don't Send button but not the Send Error Report button. what can i do about this? it says that it is powered by {sa}. pleaz help.
